In 1985 Michael Jordan received the Rookie of the Year award and Nike decided to celebrate this anniversary with the new Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High Rookie of The Year shoes.
The sneakers feature a white leather upper with perforations on the toe for breathability and gold-colored leather overlays on the ankle, eyelet and heel. Hidden within each strap of the upper are nods to Michael Jordan's remarkable Rookie of the Year season. The inscription "1984-85 ROY 2313 POINTS 28.2 PPG" is on the inside with also a Jordan quote on the other side.
